A random glyph and rotation per cell.

Each cell hashes its own coordinates into a glyph, one of four rotations, a colour, and whether it gets a filled panel. Nothing coordinates neighbours — every continuous line that crosses a tile boundary is a coincidence, and the picture is made of those coincidences.

Drawn in the browser

This generator does not send you an image. The server sends a short description of one — the parameters below, plus a 32-byte key — and the drawing is done here, from the same byte stream the server would have used. That needs JavaScript, so with it switched off there is nothing to show.

The description itself is still public: /api/v1/g/images.tiles returns it, and the maths is in resources/js.

Measured across the long side, so a landscape canvas gets square cells rather than stretched ones.

Glyphs

Curves alone read as plumbing, lines alone as a circuit diagram, solids alone as a quilt. All three together is the busiest and usually the best.

Stroke weight

As a fraction of a cell. Past about 0.35 the strokes meet their neighbours and the negative space becomes the pattern.

Filled cells

How often a cell gets a glyph at all. The empty ones are what give the grid somewhere to breathe.

How often a cell gets a filled ground under its glyph. These clump into fields and give the composition a scale larger than one tile.

Entropy source

Picking a source changes the story on the receipt, never the quality: anything below class A is mixed with the OS CSPRNG before it reaches you. This result actually came from Bitcoin Proof-of-Work.

The token is the seed, so this link recomputes the result rather than looking it up. No database, and it works for as long as v1 does.

This page and /api/v1/g/images.tiles run the same code. There is no private endpoint.
